Brooklyn Win to Pull Even With New York
The Brooklyn Bluebirds got a complete game effort from starter Jorge Sandoval to move into a 1-1 tie with the New York Knickerbockers in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

The Brooklyn right-hander went the distance at Knickerbocker Stadium, cooling off the New York Knickerbockers and striking out 4 to help Brooklyn take the 2-0 win that knotted the series.

Sandoval went the distance for Brooklyn, allowing no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Sandoval told the Brooklyn Times.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 14th , 1968 at Flatbush Park in Brooklyn.
