McLaughlin, Wranglers Wallop Terriers in Game 2 of DS
|
Dallas left fielder Gene McLaughlin produced all the offense the Wranglers would need today in the club's 14-1 win over the Boston Terriers.
McLaughlin went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 7, while Dallas moved into a tie in the Divisional Series. The Wranglers and Terriers are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.
The Wranglers took a 8-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Facing Boston hurler Paul Wiley with no outs, McLaughlin hit a grand slam home run.
"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Wranglers manager William Albrecht.
The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 4th , 1968 at Atlantic Avenue Grounds in Boston.
