Terriers, Wranglers Play 12 to Settle Game 3, Boston Now Leads Series 2-1
|
When the games really matter, the Boston Terriers put on their best show, beating the Dallas Wranglers by a final score of 1-0 today. Bob Schar threw 11.0 innings of shutout ball. Boston now leads Dallas 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Boston catcher Eddie Ellison, facing Ken Morrison, had a run-scoring double. It gave the Terriers the 1-0 win.
Ellison attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Atlantic Avenue Grounds in Boston.
