Dallas Win to Pull Even With Boston
|
The Dallas Wranglers knotted up the Divisional Series at Atlantic Avenue Grounds today, thanks in large part to second baseman Randy Paterson. Paterson went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs as he overpowered the Boston Terriers, enabling Dallas to grab the 6-3 win and move into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.
Warren Washington produced at a critical juncture for Dallas. It happened in the top of the eighth with Alex Alonso on the mound and Dallas leading 4-3. That's when the 27-year old right-handed pitcher Washington hit a sacrifice fly.
"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Dallas manager William Albrecht told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Atlantic Avenue Grounds in Boston.
