Knickerbockers Even With Bluebirds After Extra-Innings Win
Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the League Championship Series, the Brooklyn Bluebirds could not close the deal.

Game 4 went into extra frames and the New York Knickerbockers emerged victorious, taking a 10-inning, 6-3 win. New York starting pitcher Chris Hull threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball in the win at Flatbush Park today to drag the Knickerbockers back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

New York used the timely hitting of Francisco Chavez to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Knickerbockers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments, Hull said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Flatbush Park in Brooklyn.
