League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Fredrick and Detroit
The Detroit Wolverines started the League Championship Series in style today, downing the visiting Dallas Wranglers at Wolverine Field by a score of 4-3 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Wolverines right-hander John Fredrick threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball.

An impactful at-bat came in the bottom of the third inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Emil Wathen, reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It made the score 4-3, Detroit, and helped them go on to win.

"I believe in our guys," said Detroit skipper Alex Wobbema. "I like the energy they're playing with."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolverine Field in Detroit.
