Wranglers Clip Wolverines 2-1 in LCS Contest
The Dallas Wranglers got a strong performance from pitcher Steve Coomes, who stymied the Detroit offense en route to a 2-1 win in Game 3 of the League Championship Series today. The Wolverines could never get a bead on the right-handed Coomes, who threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 runs. The Wranglers now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Dallas grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jim McCusker delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Wranglers.

"We'll put that win in the can," said Coomes, "and go after the next one."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bluff Park in Dallas.
