Raucous Wolverine Field Crowd Propels Wolverines to 5-0 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Detroit Wolverines and the Dallas Wranglers will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation today, the Wolverines shut out the Wranglers 5-0 at Wolverine Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Detroit right-hander Larry Black did his part. He threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball.

Black went the distance for Detroit. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 8 and walking 0.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Black.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolverine Field in Detroit.
