Almost There: New York On Cusp of World Series Triumph After 4-0 Win
|
The New York Knickerbockers got an exceptional performance from starter Chris Hull, who silenced the Dallas offense en route to a 4-0 shutout win in Game 4 of the World Series today. The Wranglers could never get a bead on the right-handed Hull, who threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball. The Knickerbockers now hold a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Hull, a native of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was dealing all game. He kept Dallas hitters off-balance, while giving the Knickerbockers 9 quality innings. Hull threw 127 pitches, allowing 8 hits and striking out 5.
"It feels good to get this one," Hull told the New York Citizen.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Knickerbocker Stadium in New York.
