Allen Blasts Traders, Captains Take Game 2, 8-5
The San Diego Captains defeated the Chicago Traders, 8-5, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. Making an impact was left fielder Larry Allen, who was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win moves San Diego into a 1-1 tie with Chicago in the series.

A key moment came with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Allen hit a fastball from Bobby Peters for a 2-run home run, putting San Diego up, 4-1.

"It feels good to get this one," Allen told the San Diego Citizen.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at San Diego Sporting Complex in San Diego.
