Quakers Win Divisional Round
Jeff Murchison has led his Philadelphia Quakers to a Divisional Round victory.

Philadelphia's right fielder was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 4-1 and eliminating the Denver Burros.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series."

The club advanced to the League Championship Series with a 7-0 triumph at Quakers Stadium in the deciding game.

Murchison was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .455 average, as well as 2 home runs and 5 RBI.

The Philadelphia Quakers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Diego Captains - Pittsburgh Industrials series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
