Divisional Round Game 1 Victory for Rodriguez and Detroit
The Divisional Round got off to a quiet start, with the host Detroit Wolverines taking a low-scoring, 2-1 win over the Atlanta Generals. Detroit left-hander Juan Rodriguez was marvelous at Wolverine Field. The Wolverines now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Rodriguez delivered a quality start for Detroit. The 6-foot-0 left-hander allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 8 innings of work.

"By the skin of our teeth, man," Rodriguez told the Detroit Observer. "But hey, it still counts. A few more by the skin of our teeth is fine with me."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolverine Field in Detroit.
