Wranglers Heading to League Championship Series
Dallas second baseman Toby Golf couldn't hide his reaction when asked about being named MVP of the Divisional Round.

"It's a nice honor," he said, failing to suppress a wide smile. The trophy was presented to Golf moments after his club eliminated the San Francisco Seagulls to advance to the League Championship Series.

Dallas won the final game by a score of 12-6 at Mission Field and took the series 4-2.

"We won the series and that's the main thing," Golf said. "They were a tough team and we didn't want to take anything for granted."

For the series, Golf hit .520 with a .538 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 8 runs.

"He was tough to stop and that's a big reason they're there and we're here," said a dejected San Francisco manager Al Borie.

The Dallas Wranglers will play against the Detroit Wolverines in the next round. Detroit won their series against the Atlanta Generals 4 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
