World Series Game 1 Victory for Perez and Dallas
The Dallas Wranglers powered past the visiting San Diego Captains, 3-2, in the opener of the World Series at Bluff Park. Dallas starting pitcher Dario Perez threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs, to lead the charge. The Wranglers now lead the series 1-0.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Wranglers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when third baseman John Hammit hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Dave Fields and made the score 3-0, Wranglers. Hammit was 1 for 3.

"Dario's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bluff Park in Dallas.
