Wranglers Win League Championship Series
The playoff push continues for the Dallas Wranglers as they seek to capture the World Series.

The League Championship Series came to a close tonight at Wolverine Field as the Wranglers eliminated the Detroit Wolverines 4-2, with a 4-2 victory in the clinching game.

"Individual stats don't even matter at this time of year, we got to the next round and that's all I care about," said Ed Payne, who in fact put up strong individual stats to be named series MVP. "I'm proud of the guys and the effort we put forward. We're all pulling in the same direction right now."

For the series, Payne had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched. He added 5 strikeouts with a 1-0 record.

The Dallas Wranglers will play against the San Diego Captains in the next round. San Diego won their series against the Philadelphia Quakers 4 games to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
