San Diego Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in WS
Starter Mark Pike was sensational for the San Diego Captains in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Dallas Wranglers in Game 3 of the World Series. Pike pitched well, but San Diego picked up the win to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Captains had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when shortstop Ernie Wilkins hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Barry Gilmore and made the score 2-0, Captains. Wilkins was 2-4 with 2 singles.

"We put together a nice win," Pike said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at San Diego Sporting Complex in San Diego.
