Almost There: Pittsburgh On Cusp of DR Triumph After 3-2 Win
The Pittsburgh Industrials moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the New York Knickerbockers on the road at Knickerbocker Stadium by a score of 3-2. Industrials right-hander Mike Gresley had a strong outing. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Industrials a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Pittsburgh used a timely hit from Tim Grange to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Industrials ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

In postgame remarks, Grange applauded his team's "business-like approach."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Knickerbocker Stadium in New York.
