Divisional Round Goes the Distance, Detroit Prevails
The Detroit Wolverines and New York Empires hooked up in a classic Divisional Round that went right down to the wire.

In the end, it's Detroit heading off to the League Championship Series, after a 7-0 win at Queens Field tonight earned the 4-3 series win.

Outside Queens Field, whether they were supporters of Detroit or New York, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.

Duane Simmons played the hero for the Wolverines in the series, as his MVP performance included a .300 batting average, with a .371 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Detroit Wolverines don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Houston Drillers - San Francisco Seagulls series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
