World Series Game 1 Goes to Pittsburgh, Thanks to MacPherson
The Pittsburgh Industrials started the World Series in style, downing the visiting Houston Drillers at Allegheny Field by a score of 11-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Industrials third baseman Keith MacPherson was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs.

Terry McClellan helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Industrials.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Allegheny Field in Pittsburgh.
