Baltimore starter Larry Diego had a strong outing against the Dallas Wranglers at Bluff Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Baltimore reliever Mark Sanders picked up the win to move to 1-0. Warren Washington suffered the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Brian Alfieri.

Baltimore used the clutch hitting of Don Hughes to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Lords the lead, 4-3. For the game, Hughes had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Hughes told the Baltimore Observer.

At 8-0, the Lords have played well so far.
