Empires Grind Out 2-1 Win
In a low-scoring clash between New York and Toronto, pitcher Nate Frampton was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 2-1 Empires win. Frampton, the winner, moves to 7-3. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up no walks. With the win, New York raised its record to 37-34.

With New York leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Frampton hit a run-scoring single off Toronto hurler Larry Haines. It was the 4th hit of the season for Frampton and put his team ahead, 2-0.

"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Frampton said.
