Skip Carter, who leads the NBL in quality starts with 13, propelled his team to victory over the St. Louis Explorers. The final score was 5-4, Kansas City. By defeating St. Louis, the 5th-place Bulls improved to 34-38.
Larry Moses was the walk-off hero for Kansas City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bulls pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Awesome outing. Skip was on top of them all night long," said Kansas City manager DD Martin.
