Seagulls Snatch Late-Game, 2-1 Win
The San Francisco Seagulls went home winners at Bluff Park, thanks in large part to starter Ray Heath. Heath stifled the Dallas Wranglers, enabling San Francisco to grab the 2-1 win. The win went to Bill Fletcher in relief, making him now 1-1. Charlie Sokol took the loss for Dallas. Archie Sereni finished to wrap up his 17th save.

Bobby Tapia, who led the ABL in batting average with .350 in 1973, had a direct impact on the outcome. Tapia contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put San Francisco up, 2-1.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Heath said.

With the win, San Francisco pushed its record to 43-30.
