Packers Lose to Knickerbockers, 5-3
New York starter Ollie Hundley had a strong outing against the Cincinnati Packers at Knickerbocker Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Hundley picked up the win for New York, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 9-4. Steve Eaton, credited with the save, is now 10 for 15 in save opportunities.

The Knickerbockers got an important contribution from right fielder Wayne Baker, who in the bottom of the second punched a first pitch changeup into left-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 7th triple of the season and put the Knickerbockers ahead, 3-0.

Baker said his team "played with focus."

The win for the Knickerbockers raised their record to 40-32.
