Wranglers Lose Again, 5-3, to Drillers
|
Houston beat Dallas on the strength of starting pitcher Rick McStay's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. The losses continue to mount for Dallas, which has now dropped 8 in a row.
Lou Ward, the 20th overall pick in the 1968 draft, helped out the Houston cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 3. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Ward told the Houston Observer.
