Wranglers Even Record with 7-4 Victory
|
The Dallas Wranglers locked up a win at Bluff Park, knocking off the Los Angeles Pobladores, 7-4. On the mound for Dallas was right-hander Barry Gilmore. He played a major role in the triumph. Gilmore got the win, improving to 12-0. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 4 runs. Art Stager, who is tied for 9th in the ABL in saves with 6, nailed down the save.
Mike Weatherby hit a 2-run triple off Phil Lester in the bottom of the second, which put the Wranglers in front, 2-1. Weatherby had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"Barry did a good job keeping the game under control," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
With the win, Dallas upped its record to 36-36.
