Terriers Earn 8-6 Win Against Wolverines
The Boston Terriers topped the Detroit Wolverines, 8-6, in 10 innings at Wolverine Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Boston second baseman Jim Quinlan. Tim Jepperson earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 3-5. Marvin Walton recorded his 2nd save for Boston.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Miguel Preciado came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Detroit pitcher Paul Carter, he hit a 2-1 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Boston on top, 7-6.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Terriers manager Jonah Placeholder.

The win puts Boston at 29-44.
