Twin Cities Mettle Tested in Tight 1-0 Win
The Twin Cities Northmen got a scintillating performance from pitcher Syed Farooqi, who shut out the Los Angeles Pobladores, 1-0. Twin Cities is now 35-38, Los Angeles 38-34.

The decisive blow was delivered by Steve Pavey in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring triple off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Larry Seger to win the game for Twin Cities. The home crowd went nuts.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Pavey.
