The Atlanta Generals beat the Boston Terriers, 5-4, at Atlantic Station Field. Steve Walp starred for Atlanta. He was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Generals improved their record to 34-39 with the win over Boston.
Preston Lee was the walk-off hero for Atlanta. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Generals pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
