Atlanta and Boston duked it out and the Generals came out victorious.

Atlanta Generals starter Frank Combs pitched well against the Boston Terriers at Atlantic Avenue Grounds, leading his team to a win, 5-2. Combs, who led the ABL in innings pitched with 273.2 last year, went the distance for Atlanta. He gave up 2 runs on 10 hits.

Atlanta third baseman Zach Hodge contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Generals ahead, 5-1.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Hodge.

The win puts Atlanta at 29-44.
