Baltimore Drops Another One, 4-3
|
Starting pitcher Frank Combs pitched well enough to help the Atlanta Generals beat the Baltimore Lords, 4-3. Baltimore has now lost 7 straight.
There was more than one reason the Generals beat the Lords, but Combs's big at-bat in the bottom of the fourth was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"Frank kept them off-balance, threw a great game for us," said Generals manager Philipe Yazzie.
