Packers Drop Bluebirds, 4-3
The Cincinnati Packers and Brooklyn Bluebirds played an entertaining game for Flatbush Park patrons.

The Cincinnati Packers clipped the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 4-3, in 11 innings at Flatbush Park. The standout performance belonged to Cincinnati pitcher and Ringgold, Louisiana, native John Stoddard. Cincinnati pitcher Brian Alfieri earned the win, hiking his record to 3-1. Dick Conway suffered the loss.

Lee McGee came through with a big-time hit for Cincinnati. The left fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"John throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch.

The victory puts Cincinnati at 30-45.
