San Francisco Makes It 7 Straight with 5-4 Win
The San Francisco Seagulls did just enough to secure a victory over the Houston Drillers, 5-4, in 10 innings at Mission Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Pete Ragsdale. San Francisco is now 48-25, 5 games up in the American Baseball League Western Division.

The Seagulls got a clutch hit from shortstop Gail Bishop. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Seagulls.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Al Borie, the San Francisco manager.
