Wolverines Come Up Short at Montreal, 7-6
|
The Detroit Wolverines got a superb performance from catcher Larry Adams, but the Montreal Habitants still won the game, 7-6. Adams was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The 4th-place Habitants now have a record of 36-38.
Jerry Sullivan, who finished 2nd in the ABL in runs with 102 in 1972, helped out the Montreal cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a walk.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Sullivan.
