Hurons Win 5-3 Walk-Off
|
The Toronto Hurons beat the Boston Terriers, 5-3, at Dominion Field. Mark Clark, in particular, was impressive. He went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Toronto has won 3 straight, while Boston has lost 3 in a row.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Toronto trailing 3-2, Clark jumped on a changeup from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Tim Jepperson and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Hurons had a walk-off win.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Clark told the Toronto Citizen.
