|
Terriers catcher Paul Knight left his mark on his team's 9-3 win over the Atlanta Generals. Knight went 3-4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times for Boston in the contest. Kim Glanden, who finished 5th in the ABL in saves with 21 in 1968, was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and no strikeouts. The Terriers sport a record of 31-45.
Boston used a clutch at-bat from Gary Williams to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Terriers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Atlanta manager Philipe Yazzie.
