Habitants Beaten By Hurons, 4-2

The Toronto Hurons locked up a win at Dominion Field, knocking off the Montreal Habitants, 4-2. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Larry Haines. He played a major role in the triumph. Haines, the winner, moves to 4-6. He threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 5 walks. Steve Persenaire closed the game out for Toronto, earning his 3rd save.
The Hurons got a big at-bat from first baseman Bill Hunt. For the game, Hunt was 3 for 4 with 2 triples. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Toronto a 3-2 lead.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Haines said.
The Hurons sit in last place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division with a record of 32-44.
