Dairymen Lose, 7-1, in 10
|
Los Angeles starter Ralph Weintraub pitched well against the Milwaukee Dairymen at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-1, in 10 innings. The Blockbusters now have a mark of 34-40.
Ramon Montoya came through with a big-time hit for Los Angeles. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley.
