Burros Earn Late 2-1 Win
The Denver Burros earned a close win over the St. Louis Explorers, thanks in part to Dave Pelton. The Denver right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the NBL in quality starts with 11, played a key role in the 11-inning, 2-1 victory. The win was credited to 30-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Gresley in relief. His record improves to 6-5. Robbie Goolsby took the loss. The National Baseball League Western Division-leading Burros are 48-28.

Tom Rosales came through with a big-time hit for Denver. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Everybody in here is a professional. You have to do what you have to do," said Rosales.
