Generals Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Atlanta Generals and the Boston Terriers. Atlanta won it, 2-1. Atlanta starter George Palmer was in command. Atlanta reliever Ron Cwiklinski picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Marvin Walton was saddled with the loss. Atlanta is now 41-33.
The Generals got a clutch hit from shortstop Kyle Devine. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Generals.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Devine.
