Baltimore Beaten, 9-5, by Atlanta
Atlanta first baseman Chris Berman contributed significantly to his team's 9-5 win over the Baltimore Lords. Berman, who finished 5th in the ABL in hits with 166 in 1968, went 3 for 6 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Generals. Atlanta reliever Paul Darch was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Don Achber. The Generals raised their record to 31-45.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 17th for Atlanta. That's when Roberto Palacios hit a grand slam home run off former first round draft pick Don Achber to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"This place was rockin'," said Berman.
