The Denver Burros beat the Chicago Traders, 9-3, at Union Field. Denver right fielder Guillaume Moret had an outstanding performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Denver is now 40-35, Chicago 42-34.

With Denver leading 3-1 in the top of the fourth, Moret hit a changeup from Bobby Peters for a 2-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Burros ahead, 5-1.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Moret, "one at-bat at a time."
