The Toronto Hurons defeated the New York Empires, 6-4, in American Baseball League action at Queens Field. Toronto pitcher Bill John had a standout performance. Herman Gagne, now 4-2, was credited with the win in 1.1 innings of relief. He allowed 2 runs on 1 hit, while striking out 0 and walking 1. The Hurons improved to 34-43.

Toronto used a timely hit from Max Lasseter to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hurons ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Toronto manager Jim Burns called it "a pretty good win."
