Al Castro impressed in the 6-4 New York win over Boston. Castro was 4-7 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. At 7-1, the Empires have played well so far.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 14th. With one out, Castro hit a curveball from Roger Scherf for a 2-run home run. The Empires, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said New York manager Dan Whiting.
