San Francisco Seagulls starter Tim Stambaugh was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Twin Cities Northmen, 4-2. Albert Green picked up the save for San Francisco, his 1st of the year. San Francisco improves to 49-28 with the win. They lead their division by 7 games.

San Francisco took a 3-2 lead on Bob Raab's 9th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Raab hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Twin Cities pitcher Charlie Sokol visibly frustrated.
