Milwaukee Slaps 4-1 Loss on St. Louis
|
Milwaukee starter Dan Valenti put a stranglehold on the St. Louis offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Dairymen to a 4-1 win. In 7 innings, Valenti surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. With the win over St. Louis, the Dairymen improved to 38-39.
There was more than one reason the Dairymen beat the Explorers, but Valenti's big at-bat in the bottom of the fourth was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-1 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
"Dan was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley.
