Bennett Helps Cincinnati Outscore New York
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Cincinnati Packers and New York Knickerbockers came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

In a high-scoring game between Cincinnati and New York, shortstop Glen Bennett was a difference-maker. The 25-year-old helped Cincinnati grab the 13-10 win. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. New York is 5-4 after the defeat.

Cincinnati pitcher John Stoddard contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Packers ahead, 5-0.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Stoddard.
