Bobcats Suffer 7-1 Road Loss
|
Dave Teckenbrock was masterful in helping the Brooklyn Bluebirds take down the Cleveland Bobcats, 7-1. Teckenbrock, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 3 walks. Cleveland drops to 2-6.
The Bluebirds got a big at-bat from third baseman Bob Rawlins. For the game, Rawlins went 1-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Brooklyn a 1-0 lead.
"My gosh almighty, Dave was tremendous," said Brooklyn manager John Meeker.
