Bulls Take Tight Tangle
Kansas City picked up a win at Independence Field, bumping off the Denver Burros, 4-3. Pitcher Waldo Hardaway was a major reason the Bulls emerged victorious. Kansas City reliever Bob Crosby picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Mike Gresley absorbed the loss. The triumph puts Kansas City at 39-38 for the season.

Emilio Cortez was the walk-off hero for Kansas City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bulls left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Hardaway said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
