Win Streak Now at 7 for Bobcats
|
The New York Knickerbockers went down to defeat to Myron Baird and his Cleveland teammates. The final score was 4-2, in favor of the Bobcats. Joe Clabaugh wrapped it up, recording his 14th save. The first-place Bobcats have won 7 in a row.
Bobby Magnuson had a big 2-run triple for the Bobcats in the bottom of the third inning. With Cleveland leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from former first round draft pick Bob Brion and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bobcats ahead, 3-0.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Bobcats manager Daniel Mays, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
